I see lots of people talking about the qualifications for our County Judge candidates, and those are important. Equally important to me is dedication, dedication to our county in particular. Darrell Cobb is one of our local heroes. He is from here and stayed here to raise his family and build his business. He dedicated most of his adult life to serving Corsicana and Navarro County. First as a fireman and first responder, Darrell was among the most decorated firemen and leaders of the Corsicana Fire Department. He devoted himself to being the best, doing more and achieving more.
Darrell Cobb has that dedication to Navarro County. As such, I believe he is the most well-rounded person for the job. A Navarro County native who knows Navarro County, whose heart is in Navarro County, and has long been a part of Navarro County should be its County Judge. I believe Darrell Cobb is that man, and he has my support and my endorsement.

Darrell’s extensive background in the public sector, particularly across multiple forms of public safety sector including the fire service, emergency management, and state task force, reflects a career built on service, accountability, and sound judgment. Those qualities matter deeply for the role of a County Judge, where the ability to deal with clarity in everyday governance is just as key as in the critical times when emergencies or disasters strike. This alone makes all the difference in this race and truly sets him apart from the others.
Darrell brings a proven record of fiscal responsibility. He understands budgeting from both sides of the table. This has been proven through his many roles in the public sector that demand careful stewardship of taxpayer resources, and through the real-world discipline of running his own business where every decision must balance priorities, manage risk, and deliver results. That combination of experience is rare, and it’s exactly what Navarro County needs to ensure responsible planning, efficient operations, and thoughtful long-term investments as the primary administrative leader of this county.

"I’ve known Darrell Cobb for 46 years. He’s one of the most intelligent individuals I’ve ever met. I’m asking you to vote for him for County Judge. In my opinion the most important attribute for any elected official is a heart for public service. You can read about all of Darrell’s accomplishments but the most important one is his heart for service. After serving this community for over 24 years as an Officer at the fire department, then retiring, he could not completely let go of that servants heart. He has been a center point for the Office of Emergency Management for Navarro County for years, putting himself in dangerous situations and horrible weather conditions to keep county residents safe. But the kicker is he has NEVER accepted pay. Which means he has saved the taxpayers hundreds of thousands dollars. If that’s not a heart of service, I don’t know what is. Throughout the 14 years we worked together, across all ranks and on all types of calls, whether structure fires, medical emergencies, HAZMAT incidents, swift water rescues, or any other call you could imagine, Darrell always seemed to make the right decision. He consistently put the people of Corsicana and Navarro County, as well as those working with him in the department, first. I have had the privilege over the last quarter century to work with Darrell in some trying situations and to call him my personal friend. I urge you to vote for Darrell Cobb as our next Navarro County Judge.

When you speak or think about the word “judge,” what comes to my mind is integrity, honesty, fairness, and consistency, to name a few. All of these qualities I speak of, I see in Darrell Cobb. I can speak firsthand, as I worked under Captain Cobb for a number of years at Corsicana Fire. He’s someone I’d not only call a friend, but also a mentor and a leader.
I have personally taken what I learned from Captain Cobb about leadership and fairness across the board and molded it into how I command as a Battalion Chief as I continue my career. When I first heard Darrell was running for County Judge, the first thing that came to mind was fairness. He’s that guy. It didn’t matter who you were — everyone was given the same fairness in all facets of the job, whether it was discipline or recognition.
In my opinion, Darrell has a servant’s heart and is a true servant leader. When I look at the qualities of someone I’d want to help lead this County for years to come, it’s Darrell Cobb.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Darrell Cobb for my entire career at the Corsicana Fire Department. When I started at the department at just 20 years old, Darrell was my Captain. I had the honor of working alongside him for 13 years until his retirement, and when he retired, I stepped into his role as Captain.
Darrell taught me so much — about leadership, integrity, and dedication — and I work hard every day to uphold the high standards he set for the Corsicana Fire Department. I know Darrell on both a personal and professional level, and without a doubt, I can say he is the right man for the job.
Darrell is honest, fair, and never afraid of hard work. He leads by example and always puts people first. I have no doubt that he will serve this community with the same passion and commitment he’s shown throughout his entire career.
